Ates Kadioglu, M. D.
Professor of Urology
Cheif Section of Andrology, Department of Urology, University of Istanbul.
Ates Kadioglu was born in Istanbul in 1959. He earned his medical degree at the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, University of Istanbul in 1983, where he served as a resident and clinical instructor until l990. He became associate professor in 1994 and full-professor in 2000. He is former president of Turkish Society of Andrology. He is currently the chief of the Andrology Section of Department of Urology in Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and vice president of Turkish Urological Association. He is a lecturer and researcher in the field of sexual medicine and infertility. Dr. Kadioglu has authored 98 original articles in peer-reviewed journals and received 1288 citations. His main interest of research is Peyronie’s disease and varicocele.
He is a member of ESSM, EAU, AUA, ISSM, ISSWSH and ASRM. He is a reviewer for European Urology and served as reviewer for Sexual Medicine. He was member of the committee of pathophysiology of FSD, for the 2nd and chairman of the committee of priapism for the 3rd International Consultation on Erectile and Sexual Function. He is married and has two daughters. He speaks English and German.
