Dr. Anila Godo, Professor in pediatrics, is currently Head of Pediatric Department( from 10 years) at the Medical University of Tirana and also Head of Service of Oncology /Hematology (from 21 years), at the UHC “Mother Theresa”, Tirana. 2002 – ’07 she was Vice dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Minister of Health in ‘08 – ‘09.
She is Titular of teaching program in hematological pediatric curriculum from ‘90, and in oncological pediatric curriculum from ‘95; Curriculum’s Compiler Graduate and Postgraduate Programs, for general, hematological and oncological pediatric area
From 10 years she is President of Albanian Pediatric Society; 2007 – ‘13 Member of KALSH (Higher Education and Science Council); 2010 – ‘13 Expert Albania HERE (High Education Expert Reform); 2 years ago she was elected counselor on the board of UMEMPS; From 2017 Professor Godo is member of TEDYY. She is also an Associate Editor of Medical Journal of Albania.
Dr. Godo has completed several specializations in Belgium, Italy, France, USA.
Prof. Godo has authored/coauthored several publications (51) in various journals and books. She has been an invited lecturer or referrer at many national/ international scientific events. (132)
Dr Godo is involved in several European projects: Albanian coordinator of 2 European projects (under FP7 ) (2012 – 2018); Project Leader for the Albanian party in 2 projects with NGO Sant’Egidio Community, funded by the Italian government. (1999 – 2000).
She has very good knowledge of French and Italian; knowledge of average of English.
At 2014 she was decorated by the President of Albania.
